Matthew R. Daniels Owner and President

Matt followed in his father's footsteps and has been in both the funeral and furniture business since 1977. He is currently the Owner and President of Schuette-Daniels Inc. and Polnasek-Daniels Inc.  He is active in the community, serving as a member of the Burlington Rotary Club, past President of the Burlington Chamber of Commerce, and retired member of the Burlington Rescue Squad. He also served on the Board of Directors of the Southeastern Wisconsin Funeral Directors Association as well as being a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. He and his wife Donna reside in Burlington and have 3 sons.

Craig Hancock Business Manager

Craig began his career with Schuette-Daniels in 1978. He worked full time at the furniture store, and after hours at the funeral home when needed. Prior to the fire which resulted in the closing of the store in November of 2014, Craig filled the role of store manager. Craig joined the funeral home full time in November 2014 assuming the duties of business manager along with assisting with funeral services. Craig and his wife Marian live in Burlington. They have three married children and seven grandchildren. Craig enjoys golfing, camping, and spending time with his family.

Eric followed in his father's and grandfather's footsteps.  He started working at the family business as a teenager by mowing lawn.  He continued in the family business in high school by working as one of the delivery and warehouse staff at the furniture store.  While attending college, during the summer and winter breaks, he started his apprenticeship at the funeral home. He graduated from UW-Madison and then received his mortuary degree from MATC and was licensed in 2006.   He works in both our Burlington and Union Grove locations and prides himself on being able to help people during one of the most difficult times in their life.  He is a Past President of Union Grove Chamber of Commerce.  He is a member of St. Mary's church in Burlington where he, his wife Sarah and their children Norah, Rosalie, Reed and Wren reside. He enjoys sports and is an avid Badgers Football and Packer fan.

Jeff lives in Union Grove and works in both locations. His great uncle opened the Burlington funeral home in 1929. His grandfather was one of the original partners and his father also worked for the firm. He represents the fourth generation working at the funeral home. Jeff enjoys hunting in the fall and is active in the Burlington Conservation Club. He is a longtime member of the Union Grove Yorkville Fire Department. He has been married to Stacy (nee Rygiewicz) since 1995, and together they have 4 children. He has been very active with his kids by coaching sports teams and and helping with the Union Grove Cub and Boy Scouts along with the UG Broncos Shooting Team. He is Currently the Secretary and Treasurer of the Southeastern District for the Wisconsin Funeral Directors Association.

Lars has been with the company since 2004 when he began his career in funeral service. He works in both our Burlington and Union Grove locations. He is married and has two daughters. He currently resides in Trevor.

Jeanna Cole Funeral Director jeannacole@danielsfh.com

Jeanna grew up in the North Cape area and attended Waterford High School, graduating in 2002.  In 2005 she joined the Army Reserves as a Medic and spent 8 years in the Army.  It was during her time in the military that she decided she wanted to help families who are experiencing a death.  She attended Milwaukee Area Technical College graduating in 2014 in Mortuary Science.  Right after graduation, Jeanna started working at Daniels Family Funeral Homes, first as an Apprentice and then as a Funeral Director once she got licensed in 2015.  Jeanna moved to Burlington in 2010 and lives there with her husband, David, his son Ty, their son William, and their two weiner dogs Balou and Gus.

Holly joined Daniels Family Funeral Homes in July of 2018 taking on the role of office manager.  She earned her bachelor’s degree from Cedarville University in Ohio, has 3 young adult children, and has been a lifelong Kenosha County resident.  She has always loved the Burlington area and is honored to serve Burlington residents in their time of loss.

John Ray Funeral Director Apprentice

John Joined the staff of Daniels Family Funeral Home in August 2022 and in Febuary of 2023 He got his Apprentice Licence. He is currently attending Mortuary School in Des Moines, Iowa. John decided to go into funeral service after he had a rough experience with a death in his life. He currenty resides in Burlington, Wi and has two Boston terriers. John also enjoys cooking for others.
