Obituary for Michael D. Kelly

Michael D. Kelly, 63, of Burlington, passed away Sunday, November 11, 2018 at his home, surrounded by his family following a long battle with cancer.

Born in Elkhorn on May 21, 1955, he was the son of Harold Kelly and Carol (nee Cooper) Schultz. He grew up and resided in San Antonio, Texas until moving to Burlington 19 years ago. He proudly served his country in the Marines, during the Vietnam War.

Mike was united in marriage to Sandra L. Borucki, in Elkhorn, on November 9, 1999. He worked at Moxness Plastics in East Troy as a molder. He had a passion for hunting, fishing and boating and loved spending time with his dog, Gracie.

He is survived by his wife, Sandy; children, David (Athena) Kuhl and Nicole (Denise) Kuhl; siblings, Rodney (Brenda) Kelly, Richard Kelly, Fred Hall and Missy (Randy) Hall. He is further survived by his step-father, Jerry Schultz along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Lee Hall, Carol Schultz and Harold Kelly.

The family would like to thank Dr. Syed Haider and the staff with Aurora Cancer Center and Aurora Home Hospice for their wonderful care and compassion.

A Celebratory Gathering for Mike will be held Monday, November 19, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home.
