Violet Alvina Perleberg,
Age 94, of Burlington, passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at her daughter’s home in Illinois. Violet was born on May 12, 1918 in Lyndon Station to the late John and Alvina (nee Treppish) Holtslander. She spent her early life in Milwaukee and was a graduate of Girls Tech High School.
On August 30, 1941 in Milwaukee Highland Methodist Church, Violet was united in marriage to Elroy E. Perleberg. Following marriage they made their home in Milwaukee. Elroy preceded Violet in death on January 28, 1996.
Violet had been a resident of Burlington since 1964 and for the past 2 ˝ years had resided with her daughter. She had worked in the cafeteria at AT&T for over 10 years, as well as Packaging Corporation. She was a member of the Burlington United Methodist Church for over 50 years and enjoyed playing dice, needlepoint, sewing and doing crafts. Violet not only loved to bake but she loved taking pictures and was often referred to as a “camera bug”.
Survivors include her children; Marjorie (Robert) Wilson of Glendale Heights, IL and James (Connie) Perleberg of Burlington, grandchildren; Kim (Jeffrey) Shrigley, Robert Wilson, Jeremy (Jennifer) Perleberg, Kent (Danielle) Perleberg, Tina (Kevin) Dopkins, Tamara (Adam) Mehring and Rebecca Kempken, great-grandchildren; Connor and Hannah Shrigley, Alexis Wilson, Chelsa and Cierra Perleberg, Violet Perleberg, Cayla Ruarke, Cameron Dopkins, and Henry, Charlie and Simon Mehring, a brother, Gerald Holtslander, sister-in-law, Eloise Holtslander and by a brother-in-law, Russell Perleberg. Violet was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother, Kenneth Holtslander, sisters; Eunice (Harvey) Karnitz, Ruby (Howard) Perschbacher, Grace (Bill Engelfried) (Art) Raasch and Marjorie (Herbert) Ambroz, a grandson, Jamie Wilson, and by in-laws; Fred (Josephine) Perleberg, Donald Perleberg, Delvin (Donna) Perleberg, Gerrilyn Perleberg and Bernice Holtslander.

Visitation:
Relatives and friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Saturday, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM.

Service:
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 4, 2012 at 1:00 PM at Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home with Pastor Ebenezer Insor officiating.

Cemetery:
Burial will follow at Burlington Cemetery.
