Jane Strzelecki gracefully left this world on the 1st day of summer after a brief illness; she was surrounded by family grateful for her unconditional love and spunk.
Life will not be the same for George, her husband of 57 years, daughters Kathryn and Eve (Bill Koerner), sons Nick (Susan ) and Patrick Strzelecki, grandchildren Tyson (Emma), Tess, & Trent Koerner, and great grandchildren Oscar Walters and Henry Koerner.
Jane was born in Milwaukee on August 22, 1928 to Victor Mundschau and Ann (nee Salfer). As a young girl she loved visiting her cousins in Dousman & Williams Bay. Jane lived in Fontana WI for the past 44 years; she loved her yard and took pleasure in the majestic oak trees and every wild flower that found its way to her. Jane was smart, beautiful, unassuming, strong-willed, and tender.
From 1968-1972 Jane worked at the Playboy Club in Lake Geneva WI & shared many laughs with her wonderful co-workers. From 1972-1996 Jane worked at the Wisconsin School for the Deaf in Delavan, a job she loved because of the children and her dear friends.
Janeís family wishes to thank the wonderful staff at Lakeland Health Care Centerís Rehabilitation Dept. for their exceptional care. Words cannot express our gratitude to Dr. Gerber, Dr. Peterson, & the staff at Lakeland Hospital. A heartfelt thanks to Lakeland Hospital &Hospice nursing staff for their excellent care &compassion.
Per Janeís request there will be no funeral. Janeís ashes will be scattered with the first snow of the season. To honor Jane take time to notice how leaves sway when thereís just a hint of a breeze, smell anything in bloom Ė even a weed and appreciate the wonder of it, & pet the next cat you are able and tell them itís from Jane.
