Curtis G. Ingram,
Age 72, of Kansasville, went to be with his Lord on Thursday, July 19, 2012 at his home. He was born on January 24, 1940 in Benton, IL, to the late Gail and Clara Bell (nee Ponsetti) Ingram. Curtis spent his early life and received his education in Benton, IL. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps from 1957 until 1967.
On October 5, 2001 in Racine, Curtis was united in marriage to Maria Beth. Following marriage they made their home in Kansasville, and attended Racine Bible Church.
Curtis worked in maintenance for Union Grove High School and was a volunteer for the Union Grove-Yorkville Fire Department for 38 years. Curtis was an EMT Instructor at Gateway and had also been a meat cutter at Piggly Wiggly.
Survivors include his wife, Maria, his daughters; Alaine (Ben Mortensen) Ingram of New Berlin and Michelle (Randie) Johnson of Black River Falls, step-children; Rachel (Todd) Womack of Slinger and Peter (Mindy) Beth of Racine, loved dearly by grandchildren; Jamie and Tonie Johnson and Megan and Eliza Beth, and by sisters; Darlene (Charles) Minor of Union Grove, Vicky Frohmader of Wind Lake and Rosie (Bill) Heck of Waterford. Curtis was preceded in death by his parents.
The family would like to express a special thank you to the Aurora VNA of WI Hospice for their compassion and excellent care given to Curtis, especially Connie and Beth.
In lieu of flowers, memorials have been suggested to Fort Wilderness, P.O. Box 715 McNaughton, WI 54543, which is a Christian camp.
Private burial with full military honors will take place at the So Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Darien Bowers officiating.
