Age 86, of Burlington, passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at Kindred Nursing Center, formerly Mount Carmel Medical Center. She was born February 4, 1926 in Milwaukee, to the late Alexander and Anna (nee Galger) Smith. Jo spent her early life and received her education in Cudahy. 
On May 8, 1943 in Fort McClellan, Alabama, Jo was united in marriage to Phillip Wayne “Buck” Buchan. Following marriage they made their home in Muskego and then Burlington. Buck preceded her in death on October 15, 2003.
Jo worked as a Dietician at St. Francis Hospital in Milwaukee. She was a lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 7924 in Kansasville, serving as President more than once and had made many trips to Woods Hospital in Milwaukee to deliver cookies to our vets. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Burlington and had volunteered at Mount Carmel Medical Center before having a stroke. Jo loved cooking and baking for her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her children; Denny (Jean) Buchan of Muskego, Sandy (Jerry) Graff of Burlington, JoAnn (Bert) Lois of Burlington and Penny Koch of Oak Creek, grandchildren; Sherry (Travis) Luedtke, Tammy (Pat) Nannemann, Michelle (Kary) Jacks, Cindy (Joe) Behm, Matthew (Katy) Buchan, Steven (Rachael) Buchan and Michael (Toni) Koch, and by 11 great-grandchildren. Jo is further survived by a sister, Tillie Jost of South Milwaukee, sister-in-law, Dorothy Buchan of Milwaukee and by a special friend, Dolly Epping. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, granddaughter, Amy Buchan, brother, sisters, nieces and nephews.

Age 23, of Juneau, passed away at his home on Saturday, February 18, 2012. He was born October 18, 1988 in Kenosha, to David D. Sr. and Tammy (nee Cobb) Fraley.  David spent his early life in Lily Lake and attended Muskego High School.
David had resided in Juneau for the past month and prior to that spent a year in Burlington. He was employed at Ever Bright and attended Our Savior Lutheran Church. David had been a Boy Scout with Troop #381 and loved playing Xbox 360 and Nintendo. He loved Scooby Doo, reading comic books, especially the Incredible Hulk, reading Dean Koontz’s Frankenstein Series and collecting pins. David loved his family, especially his nieces and nephews, and was willing to lend a hand to anyone.
Survivors include his parents; David (Brenda) Fraley Sr. of Burlington and Tammy (Bob) Halvorsen of Clyman, grandparents; Dave and Camille Cobb Sr., siblings; Katrina Vela, Edward (Sam Sienkowski) Ludwig Jr., Annie Vogel, April Lynn (Thomas) Marcelain, James Halvorsen, Jacob Halvorsen, Justin Halvorsen, Justin (Courtney) Gerth, Kevin Gerth and Taylor Gerth, and by his best friend and love of his life, Kelsey Hayes. David is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; Donald E. and Donna Fraley Sr., and a cousin, Justin Officer.

Smith" />Age 95, of New Munster passed away February 17, 2012 at Aurora Memorial Hospital of Burlington.  She was born July 1, 1916 to Frank and Anna (nee Hemling) Schilz in New Munster, WI. She spent her early life there attending St. Alphonsus Grade School and St. Mary’s High School.  Dolores was united in marriage to Alfred Earl Smith on October 21, 1941 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church.  Their early married life was spent in Johnsburg, Il.  They moved to New Munster where they spent the rest of their life together. Dolores along with Alfred owned and operated Sonny and Dolly’s tavern for many years.  
Dolly was a woman of strong faith who lived everyday sharing that faith with others.  She was a member of St, Alphonsus Catholic Church in New Munster where she was an active parishioner for many years, she volunteered for numerous activities including the Ladies Guild.  Dolly was an avid card player, a champion at 500 Rummy and a true Packer fan.  She was a talented baker and an outstanding cook. Her passion was in sharing herself and her faith with her family.  Dolly always had time for her grandchildren, her great-grandchildren and her special 4-legged friend Leroy.  She thrived in their presence.  Her words of wisdom and encouragement coupled with her infectious laughter and beautiful spirit will leave its mark on this world long after she is gone.  She was loved by all and will be greatly missed.
Dolly is survived by her son Larry (Sandy) Smith of New Munster, her daughter Lois (Ray) Cates of New Munster, grandchildren Lori (Keith) Jensen of Sobieski, WI, Tim (Ashley) Cates of Burlington, Brian (Denise) Smith of Antioch, IL and Jeffrey (fiancé Kim) Smith of Green Bay.  She is further survived by her great-grandchildren McKenna, Kaylin, Morgan, Lucas Jensen, Brady and Bryce Smith and Tyler Cates.  Dolly was preceded in death by her husband Sonny Smith in 1977, her parents Anna and Frank Schilz, a brother Mike Schilz, sisters: Evelyn (Egon) Uhen, Lillian (Albert) Lois, Charlotte (Bud) Schmalfeldt and Lorraine (Neal) Schumann. 
    Dolly’s family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Paul Webber and his entire staff, the Aurora Hospital Nursing Staff and to Hospice Alliance for all their care and compassion.

Age 96, of Burlington, passed away Thursday, February 16, 2012 at Pine Brook Pointe. He was born on October 20, 1915 in Burlington, to the late Bruno and Emma (nee Reesman) Bauman. Hieron was a lifetime resident of Burlington and a graduate of Burlington High School. On October 27, 1937 at St. Charles Catholic Church Hieron was united in marriage to Mary Agnes Ebbers. Mary preceded Hieron in death on January 3, 1998.
Hieron had been a dairy farmer for 50 years and later worked for 10 years at Wisconsin Electric, retiring at the age of 70. He was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus where he was the treasurer and recording secretary for many years. Hieron loved playing cards and had belonged to many card clubs over the years. He enjoyed his rose garden and wood working, making carved rocking horses, bear doorstops, toy chests and hope chests.
Hieron is survived by his loving children; Bruce (Joyce) Bauman of Burlington, Tom (Karen) Bauman of Burlington, Larry (Sandy) Bauman of Lyons and Marie Blais of Park Forest, IL, son-in-law Tony Mich of Paris Township, 19 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, daughters; Dorie Klein and Jeanne Mich, granddaughter Mary Bauman, great-granddaughter Harley Klein and by a son-in-law Sam Blais.

<description><![CDATA[<img src="http://danielsfamilyfuneral.com/components/comObituaries/obituarythumbnails/121_115385.jpg" alt="Ronald “Ron” Bangert" />Age 83 of Waterford passed away, after a long illness, on February 16, 2012 at Season’s Hospice in Waukesha.  He was born to Robert and Lillian (nee Kristensen) Bangert on July 24, 1928 in Chicago, IL.  His early life was spent in Berwyn, IL.  Ron was in the Army from 1946 through 1948 as a Military Policeman, stationed at Fort Knox Kentucky.  On April 7, 1951 he was united in marriage to Gladys May Jones in Winnipeg Manitoba Canada.   They resided in Chicago and Berwyn where he worked at Lion Match Corporation for 43 years.  Upon retiring 22 years ago, they moved to Wisconsin.  Ron was a member of the Congo Men’s’ Club in Berwyn and a member of the Berwyn Presbyterian Church.   He enjoyed golfing and watching sports especially amateur sports. He was a talented woodworker making everything from cabinets to small bird figures.  Ron enjoyed playing cards mainly pinochle and challenging crossword puzzles which he did in ink.  
Ron is survived by his loving wife Gladys, a son Ronald (Marylyn) Bangert Jr. and a daughter Audrey (John) Schanning, a granddaughter Sheri Schanning and a great-grandson Cain Aulich. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Ron was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers: Robert and Harold and 1 sister Carol.
Ron’s family would like to express a sincere thank you to the staff of Season’s Hospice for all their care and compassion in caring for Ron throughout his illness.

Age 92, of Burlington, passed away Sunday, February 12, 2012 at Personally Yours Elder Care in Waterford. Cele was born on the family farm in Brighton on February 9, 1920 to the late Albert and Lucy (nee Warren) David. She grew up in Brighton and was a graduate of St. Charles Parish Grade School and Burlington High School. On February 27, 1946 she was united in marriage to Philip M. Ketterhagen at St. Charles Catholic Church in Burlington. Following marriage they made their home on the Ketterhagen homestead farm until 1983, at which time they moved to Burlington. Philip preceded her in death on October 19, 2000.
Cele had worked in the office of Montgomery Ward prior to her marriage and later retired from Foster Forbes Glass Co. as well working many years with her husband on the family farm. She was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church and a Regent for the Daughters of Isabella. Cele was very athletic and loved fast pitch softball in her younger years. She was the pitcher for a number of state championship teams. She loved bowling, playing cards, making rosaries and gardening.
Survivors include her children; Michael (Mary) Ketterhagen of Fond Du Lac, Philip (Bonnie) Ketterhagen of Burlington, Mary (Roger) Briggs of Colgate, daughter-in-law, Judy Ketterhagen of Burlington, grandchildren; Joshua (Sally), Luke (Kourtney), Isaiah (Sara), Anna (Phil) Petrie, Zachary (Crystal), Todd (Michele), Brad (Deanna), Leanne (Daniel) Villa, Christine Ketterhagen, Kelly Ketterhagen, Steven (Tina), Amy Ketterhagen, Danielle Seifert, Elizabeth (Nathaniel) Hedke, Robert Phillips, Christopher Briggs, David Briggs, Kevin Jones and Matt Jones and by 27 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sons, Nicholas and Daniel Ketterhagen, grandson Eric Jones, great-grandchild Delaney Ketterhagen and by 7 siblings.

Age 61, of Burlington passed away February 10, 2012 at her home. She was born April 1, 1950 to Howard Jr. and Elizabeth (nee Moore) Webster in Evanston, IL.  She spent her early life in Lake County, IL where she graduated from Grayslake High School. She was a truck driver all her life. Marilyn loved animals, especially horses. She was a lifetime member of AQHA (American Quarter Horse Association), she participated in Pat Parelli Horse Training and competed in the E.X.C.A. (Extreme Cowboy Association). 
Marilyn is survived by her brother Dan (Chris) Webster of CA, a sister Jeannie Schwieger of IL and nephews and nieces; Teena (Don) McGuire of CA, Jeff Webster (Margaret Williams) of  CA, Michael (Cyndy) Schwieger of New Hampshire, a great-nephew Cody Schwieger of New Hampshire and 2 great-nieces Taylor and Haley of CA. She is also survived by many cousins.  Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents.

Chester Platner, 93, of Burlington passed away Friday February 10, 2012 at Arbor View Communities. 
 
He was born on July 27, 1918 in Mukwonago, Wisconsin to the late Chestley and Gertrude (Beilfuss) Platner. 
 
Chester spent his early life &amp; received his education in Mukwonago. Chester was a life long dedicated farmer and enjoyed spending time cultivating and caring for his garden. He was a hard worker and loved sharing anything he had especially his vegetables with others. Chester had a deep love for John Deere tractors, he enjoyed sitting down with others and telling them about his tractors and days on the farm. Chester also enjoyed watching sports especially the Milwaukee Brewers who he was always cheering on to a victory. He was a greatly loved man &amp; meant a tremendous amount to many people. 
 
Chester is survived by his cousin Norman Jacobson (Mundelein IL), and his niece Cherril Tulogeski (Waukesha WI).

The family &amp; friends of Chester Platner would like to express a sincere thank you to the Arbor View Staff for the wonderful Care and Compassion they showed and gave to Chester within his last four years of life. Also, they would like to thank Odyssey Hospice for the care he received from them.

Age 56, of Burlington, passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at Elmbrook Memorial Hospital in Brookfield. Neal was born July 12, 1955 in Burlington to Lawrence and Miola (nee Wortman) Solberg. He was a lifetime resident of Burlington and a graduate of Burlington High School. Neal went on to attend UW Stevens Point, then studied abroad in Malaysia, before backpacking around Europe. 
Neal worked as a Second Pressman for Quad Graphics for 23 years and was a lifetime member of Cross Lutheran Church. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed both flower and vegetable gardening. Neal was a gourmet cook and appreciated good food.
Survivors include his mother, Miola Solberg of Burlington, the love of his life, Julie Gabaldo of Burlington, his special canine companion, Russel, and by his three sisters, Pamela (Frederick) Sieker of Carmel, NY, Charlene Solberg of Burlington and Denise (Daniel) Kretschmer of Elizabeth, IL. Neal is further survived by seven nieces and nephews; Brian, Danielle and Mark Sieker, Waylon and Allison Kretschmer, Gwen Bensen and Klaus Kretschmer, and by eight great-nieces and nephews. Neal was preceded in death by his father.

Age 61, of Burlington, formerly of Kenosha, passed away Saturday, February 4, 2012 at his residence. Clay was born July 21, 1950 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Frank and Bonita (nee Freeman) Zinn II. 
Survivors include his mother, Bonita Littell, his children and grandchildren; daughter, Amber and Jeff Justice and their children Ayden and Maddox Justice, son Ryan Zinn and his daughter Avery, daughter Angie and Wes Goldberg and their children Taylor and Brynnley Goldberg, son Zach and Denise Zinn and their children Makayla and Kyra Zinn, son Shawn Zinn, and by siblings, Blaine, John and Jay Zinn. Clay was preceded in death by his grandmother, Cleo Beagley and an uncle, Kent Lee.
Clay loved his children and grandchildren and will forever be missed.
